Event Description
Rocky Mountain Outdoor Center (RMOC)-This course teaches students to recognize and avoid common river hazards as well as being proactive in preventing accidents on the river. Students will learn rescue techniques for paddlers in distress as well as self rescue techniques. Students can expect to learn skills in dealing with swimmers, pins and entrapments. Proper use of throw bags, rescue vests and other rescue gear will also be covered. Skills assessment is included throughout the course.
