The Chalfont-New Britain Township Joint Sewage Authority seeks a qualified and dynamic individual to serve as our next Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will be responsible for day-to-day financial management of the Sewer Authority.
This is a full-time salaried position under the general direction of the Executive Director that will work directly with other department heads and manage the administrative staff of the Authority. The successful candidate will be expected to work in an office environment during normal business hours. Occasionally there will be a need to attend meetings or conferences that fall outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Overseeing all financial activities and operations of the Authority
Accurately and comprehensively representing the financial position and financial operations of the Authority
Managing the Accounting, budgeting, purchasing, debt management, treasury, and risk management of the Authority
Provide short-term and long-term financial planning and oversight for the Authority
Manage all administrative financial issues with both internal staff as well as contracted service providers
Oversee all the Authority’s transaction processing systems
Oversee, summarize, report and advise on all financial control issues
Understand and administer the financial risk management program to protect the Authority and its assets
Oversee and manage the long-term funding goals of the Authority
Prepare reports and analyses that the Executive Director or Board of Supervisors may ask for
Ensure that the Authority is operating in compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board
(GASB) standards


Qualifications:
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience/education. CPA or master’s degree in
accounting or business administration is preferred
Public Finance Officers Certification preferred
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience at an executive level, preferably in the public sector. Experience in
Pennsylvania Municipal Authority or government entity would be preferred
Proven track record of staff and personnel management
Demonstrated computer aptitude and software skills. Experience with integrated municipal finance systems preferred
Valid PA driver’s license
