Description
Provides oversight to Metro’s learning and development activities. Work collaboratively with leaders in the organization to identify and prioritize training needs for diverse work groups. Develop training programs, and internal and external resources for training needs. Works under the direction of the Senior Human Resources Manager.

Examples of Duties
Facilitates learning activities, delivers training sessions, and engages learners through various instructional methods.
Advises on training needs, designs learning solutions, and collaborates with stakeholders to address organizational performance gaps.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop, design, and update training content and materials aligned with organizational goals and employee development priorities, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
Conducts dynamic training sessions, workshops, and seminars using various delivery methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
Assists staff with organization and creation of company training programs by researching training needs, planning courses, organizing all materials, and conducting the actual seminars.
Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
Coordinates, schedules, monitors, and supports vendor provided training activities to ensure that training/retraining is conducted.
Serves as subject matter expert for Learning Management System.
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance training.
Performs other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of:

Instructional design methodologies
Adult learning principles
MS Office software and general office processes and procedures
Continuous improvement and change management principles

Skilled at:
Learning and development, including training design and facilitation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in learning management systems and other relevant technology platforms
Experience in multimedia arts and applications (e.g. Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Creative Suite)

Ability to:
Adapt training content for various learning styles
Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Assess training needs and objectives
Work in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and multitasking efficiently.
Effectively communicate and interact with peers, management, and others both orally and in writing
Show consistent self-direction and initiation of tasks
Perform effectively in a collaborative team environment

Education
Bachelor's degree. Equivalency equals one year of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed.
