SPR is looking for an operator to join our team of water professionals. This is a flexible position and can be filled from entry level (no previous wastewater experience) up to a certified \'A\' wastewater operator.

The Wastewater Operator is an integral part of the operations and maintenance of the treatment facility, and is responsible for the effective treatment of water before it is returned to the South Platte river. Wastewater operators operate valves, motors, performs water quality sampling and analysis, and performs light troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.

Signing bonuses available for qualified candidates.

Certification pay is awarded on an annual basis for maintaining a valid Colorado Wastewater certification.

D Certification: $500/year
C Certification: $1,000/year
B Certification: $2,000/year
A Certification: $3,000/year

Qualifications:
Wastewater Operator in Training
High School Diploma or GED

Wastewater Operator D
"D" Wastewater License
6 months prior work experience at a wastewater utility.

Wastewater Operator C
"C" Wastewater License
Minimum 6 months experience as a Wastewater Operator D. Minimum 1 year of experience in a wastewater utility.

Wastewater Operator B
"B" Wastewater License
Minimum 1-year experience as a Wastewater Operator C. Minimum 2 years of experience in a wastewater utility.

Wastewater Operator A
"A" Wastewater License
Minimum 1-year experience as a Wastewater Operator B. Minimum 3 years’ experience in wastewater industry (four years preferred).


Note: The goal of SPR is to employ certified operators. All employees are required to pass their D Certification within 6 months of hire.

Comments:
Operator-in-Training - $19.75-$29.62/hr

Operator D - $22.31-$33.47/hr

Operator C - $25.21-$37.82/hr

Operator B - $28.49-$42.74/hr

Operator A - $32.19-$48.29/hr
