This position is responsible for operations of the Idaho Pacific Colorado Center, CO manufacturing facility\'s wastewater processing system, waste solids management, air quality and all other environmental matters. This position is responsible for obtaining, renewing and complying with all government and regulatory agencies’ permits and requirements that relate to IPCC environmental matters. This position is responsible for the health, safety and development of employees and for ensuring a safe work environment at the IPCC – Center, CO facility. Responsibilities include the design and training of safety programs, organizing and conducting safety meetings, disseminating safety information, conducting accident investigation, hazard analysis, coordination of new hire safety orientation, and safety inspections on all new and existing machinery and equipment, work with human resources and management to identify light duty and return to work programs, perform workers compensation related incident investigation and corrective action recommendations.

Environmental Responsibilities:
Ensure regulatory compliance with the CO Department of Public Health & Environment (“CDPHE”) permit for operations of the WWTP. Manage the WWTP staff (2 employees), including training, scheduling, supervision, performance reviews. Responsible for maintaining the WWTP in optimum operating condition, including making sure all necessary repairs and maintenance are completed. Work directly with the Operator of Record of the WWTP to ensure all testing, sampling, reporting are completed and timely submitted to any regulatory agencies, including the CDPHE. Ensure compliance with all other government and regulatory agencies permits and ensure all permits are renewed prior to expiration. Liaison with all government and regulatory agencies for all environmental matters. Liaison with environmental/WWTP consultant, including oversight of any assigned tasks to be performed by outside consultant.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Conduct daily health & safety inspections and facility walk-throughs to identify or evaluate potential hazards or areas needing repair or improvements. Ensure employee behaviors are in adherence to all health and safety policies and procedures. Give consistent and immediate feedback to employees for any behaviors observed that need to be addressed and provide on the spot appraisals/coaching. Investigate accidents to identify causes and/or determine the prevention of future accidents. Complete First Reports of Incidents as needed. Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the proper use of safety equipment – both new hire orientation and required training of general workforce. Maintain up to date knowledge and training of all OSHA related regulations and guidelines. Ensure the Company is operating within all OSHA related requirements. Conduct noise surveys, atmosphere monitoring, and investigate conditions that may affect employee health or performance. Assist plant management in observing/supervising employee activities to ensure employee activities do not pose threats to workers’ health or safety. Responsible for keeping the Plant Manager and the Vice President of Human Resource informed on all Health & Safety and training needs and issues.
