POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is a critical position at ACWWA and we’re looking for someone with a great attitude who wants to learn and contribute to maintaining systems. This position will support ACWWA’s Facilities, Grounds, Wastewater and Field maintenance activities including grounds keeping (mowing and maintaining landscapes), Facilities maintenance and support, conducting preventative maintenance activities at our Wastewater Plant and supporting our Field Operations department as needed. This position is one of a team that will oversee and operate these critical functions. As the position learns and becomes competent in the duties of this position, they can potentially be trained in higher level activities and be on track to move up in position.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in this type of work. Be interested in learning and working with a team to support the critical functions of ACWWA. Does not need to be highly experienced in this area, but willing and have the ability to learn and grow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performing asset management activities on ACWWA’s facilities and systems including preventative maintenance activities and other work orders at ACWWA’s wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems and other systems.
2. Perform general landscaping/grounds management including mowing, spraying and related activities.
3. The maintenance Technician will perform snow removal and snow/ice mitigation efforts.
4. Provide minor maintenance on ACWWA’s fleet vehicles.
5. May be required to do minor data entry and record keeping as part of their duties.
6. To conduct all activities following safe water practices.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduation or equivalent, one year or more of mechanical maintenance work, landscape or related experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Must possess valid Colorado Driver’s license. If an applicant has a valid out of state license, they must obtain a valid Colorado license within 30 days of hire or their employment may be terminated.
