The Plant Superintendent oversees the Maintenance Department and reports directly to the Executive Director. The Maintenance Department facilities consist of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and 11 pump stations.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Operate the wastewater treatment plant & pump stations to ensure compliance
2. Assist with the design and construction of maintenance projects
3. Prepare an Equipment Replacement List that accounts for the next five (5) years
4. Track preventative maintenance
5. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
6. Supervise and direct employees
7. Manage maintenance staff schedule for after-hours work
8. Comply with the Delegation of Authority policy
9. Procurement decisions shall balance both cost and quality
10. Process invoices for payment
11. Manage and control overtime costs
12. Responsible to answer and respond to emergencies that occur after normal business hours
13. Primary point of contact for SCADA emergency alarms at Maintenance Department facilities
14. Collaborate w/ the Operations & Collections for procurement of products and services
15. Monitor and control expenses to adhere to the annual budget

Qualifications:

Relevant experience in a wastewater facility. A 4 year engineering degree is a plus.

Licensure Requirements We will contribute to obtaining both, if candidate does not currently possess.
Obtain an Operator License within the first three 3 years of employment and maintain an active licensure thereafter
Obtain and maintain ideally a Class A, or a class B Commercial Driver’s License CDL
