We are excited to announce an opening in our dynamic team of ecology professionals. Our program manages ~1,000 acres of natural area within the urban context of Boulder - from the riparian corridors next to the sports fields to 100’s of acres of grassland habitat around the Boulder Reservoir. We strive to balance recreational use with conservation of multiple Colorado species of concern. This position will lead and work with the crew in the areas of natural lands maintenance, vegetation management (integrated pest management and restoration), wildlife management, and visitor management with a focus on IPM.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Hold an Bachelor's degree in ecology, wildlife science, biology, environmental science or other natural resources field

Minimum of 5 years experience in natural lands management

Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in one of specialized program areas (i.e., vegetation management, wildlife management, or visitor management), can be combined with the above

Demonstrate an understanding of resource conservation, including ability to identify flora and fauna common to the Colorado Front Range

First Aid, CPR, AED or ability to obtain relevant certifications within one (1) year

Heavy equipment certification or ability to obtain relevant certifications within one (1) year

OSHA 30 hour or ability to obtain relevant certifications within one (1) year

State of Colorado certified pesticide applicators license or ability to obtain relevant certifications within one (1) year

Demonstrate leadership capabilities.

Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Possess proficient skills in utilizing tools, equipment, and software relevant to the role.

Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills.
