In the face of economic uncertainty, employers remain driven by opportunities to provide comprehensive benefit solutions that positively impact their employees’ lives There are challenges, including ongoing turmoil in the labor market, and potential political decisions that could impact the market. It will be important for employers to continue to be proactive and research solutions that best meet the needs of their budgets and the budgets of their employees. NFP continues to help clients achieve better outcomes by guiding their re-evaluation of what it takes to provide affordable, comprehensive benefit solutions. We’ll review some of the trends that have continued over the past couple of years as well as share some insight on what we see for 2025. The insight and solutions we offer are informed by an understanding of what’s happening in the world, what employers are trying to accomplish and the barriers in their way. Next in the GovCon Breakfast Series -- Purchasing Systems: When you make your bed, make sure you can sleep in it
presented by Alex Mikhelson, Baker Tilly

A compliant purchasing system should be one that addresses key regulatory criteria for contractors but one that they can also live with and operate under. Many contractors focus on designing their system around the 24 criteria in the DFARS 252.244-7001 to "check the box." But the criteria are the "whats" a contractor's system should have and be able to do and not necessarily the "hows". Join Alex Mikhelson, CPA, a Director with Baker Tilly's Government Contractor solutions for a discussion on changing your perspective when thinking about a CPSR compliant purchasing system and think through the "hows". Alex will discuss the Government's intent behind the purchasing system criteria, how to think about and approach the design of a purchasing system, key scope considerations, understanding where the criteria should and do fit in, some best practice considerations, interconnectedness to other business systems and understanding Government's review approach and where the DCMA guidebook fits in with the goal of gaining an understanding on what contractors need to both be compliant and operate under the purchasing system that they write themselves into

We hope you will join us!
