| IAPRI announces membership dues increase for 2020 for Full and Affiliate Memberships. The board of directors has accepted a modest increase of $25 to $675. This is the first increase in several years and has been approved to help us cover increased operating costs associated with the new membership management platform and bank fees associated with payment by credit card and wire transfers. Currently IAPRI’s only source of revenue is membership dues. Therefore, as expenses have increased over time, the board must now pass some of those along. IAPRI has had a small excess of revenue over expenses for that past few years. Jay Singh, IAPRI president says that “we are consciously trying to build a reserve fund equal to at least one-year operating expenses (approximately $65,000) to protect the long-term viability of IAPRI. Over the past two years we have upgraded the management software platform and the IAPRI website member only experience. We have created a better networking environment for individual researchers and the Working Groups.” The 2020 Membership Dues invoices will be sent out in mid-November according to Secretary General, Ed Church.
