Mars and Disney to speak at Clemson’s 2022 sustainability summit Clemson University in the US has announced three keynote speakers for its second annual Food, Packaging & Sustainability Summit, to be hosted by Sonoco FRESH next March. Chief digital officer at Mars Sandeep Dadlani joined Mars in 2017, having previously worked in investment banking and an Indian software company. His mission was to accelerate the Mars Purpose strategy in order to allow employees to ‘create value 100x faster’. His ‘100x’ keynote will detail just how this digital transformation in the supply chain took place, and how it is contributing to Mars’ target of zero greenhouse gas emissions in its full value chain by 2050. From Walt Disney World Resort, environmental integration project manager Steve Vanarsdall and culinary environmental specialist (and chef) Gary Jones will jointly deliver a keynote presentation on ‘Conserving the Magic’, and how the business is putting its 2030 Environmental Goals into practice.
