MSU School of Packaging Building Renovation has Begun
MSU has started to renovate the packaging building as part of a multi-million-dollar campaign to upgrade the facility. Originally built in 1964 and last renovated in 1987, the facility needed updating and modernizing.

According to the school’s Director, Dr. Matt Daum, “Not only do we need great facilities to properly educate our students and attract the best faculty, we need a facility that speaks to the thought leadership and exceptional talent the School has produced over the years. I want our facility to be a gathering place for the best and brightest packaging minds, and a place that brings together academia, industry, government and non-government leaders to solve the toughest packaging challenges.” “I also want our alumni to be proud of their School and be excited to bring their family and friends back to where their successful career began.

This past summer Amcor’s made a $10.8M commitment to the School, half of which will go towards the building renovation. Ring Container Technologies has made a $1.5 million gift to the MSU School of Packaging to support renovations to the building. the launch of the Packaging Building Campaign, the Packaging Alumni Association (PAA) is proud to introduce the PAA 1952 Project, an initiative to continue our mission to serve the students, faculty, and alumni of the School of Packaging.

The MSU Packaging Alumni Association has launched building campaign called the PAA 1952 Project with a total goal of reaching $100,000 to support the overall building renovation campaign, and the PAA and School of Packaging Director, Matt Daum, have approved matching funds of $50,000  towards the total goal.
