| Michigan State University School of Packaging has three positions open. There is an open a position for an Assistant Professor – Active, Intelligent, and Smart Packaging, one for Medical Packaging and one for a Specialist-Teacher position. Assistant Professor – Active, Intelligent, and Smart Packaging is a full time, 9 month tenure track Assistant Professor with 40% teaching, 50% research, and 10% service assignment. The position's start date is anticipated to be January 1, 2024. It is expected that candidates from a variety of backgrounds will apply. The Medical Packaging the posltion is a full time, 9-month tenure track Assistant Professor position with 45% teaching, 45% research, and 10% service assignment focused on medical packaging. It is expected that candidates from a variety of backgrounds will apply. Successful candidates will be expected to bring their own training and expertise to this position to develop a nationally/ internationally recognized research program focused on ways that packaging can positively impact healthcare. Potential Specialist-Teacher position. This is a 100% time fixed-term position with a teaching /outreach & service (70%/30%) assignment with a potential start date of January 2024. *Academic Specialist is a job category specific to MSU.
