Your Institute's Chance to Shine on the World Stage The IAPRI Board of Directors is reaching out to all IAPRI members with an exciting opportunity that could take your institute’s reputation and global presence to new heights. We believe that all of our members have the potential to host the upcoming World Conference, slated to take place in 2026. An IAPRI World Packaging Conference is a prestigious gathering of researchers, educators, industry leaders, innovators, and experts from around the globe. It offers a unique platform to showcase your excellence, connect with international counterparts, and contribute to the global discourse on packaging. We have seen how other members in the past have demonstrated their commitment to the other members of IAPRI and we believe that hosting the 25th IAPRI World Conference on Packaging in your country in 2026 could be a transformative opportunity. We understand that hosting a world conference is a significant undertaking, but we are here to support you every step of the way. We are just now completing changes to several documents that assist the hosts and details the effort required to host an event. Our Guidelines for Planning and Hosting IAPRI Conferences will provide an overview of the activities associated with hosting a conference. There will also an IAPRI Conference Event Check Sheet and Process for Abstract Review and Presentation Selection as references to other necessary activities. Member applications will be due by April 30, 2024 and then the members submitting will make a presentation to the Board on June 17, 2024 at their meeting just prior to the World Conference in Valencia, Spain. The Board will then make a final selection of the hosting institute at that meeting. IAPRI will work with any member to assist them in exploring this possibility. Representatives from prior host institutes are usually very willing to answer questions. Contact Secretary General, Ed Church for assistance in your review of the possibility of hosting the World Conference in 2026. Published: 10/27/23 |
