Event Description
The Joint Meeting of the Ohio River Basin Consortium for Research & Education and the Ohio River Basin Alliance will be held on the main campus of Thomas More University on Oct. 17-19.
The theme is: "Partnerships and Collaborations toward a Single Voice for the Ohio River Basin." (Co-Hosted by F.O.R.E., ORSANCO and the TMU Biology Field Station.)
The Program includes:
o Flood Control & Risk Reduction Challenges
o Effective Citizen Science
o Harmful Algal Blooms
o Invasive Species
o the Quality & Quantity of Water Throughout the Ohio River Basin

- Plenary Speaker Rob Bilott, an environmental lawyer and recipient of 2017 laureate of the Right Livelihood Award, widely known as the "alternative Nobel Prize."
