Join us for a CEQA Legislative Update from Matt Klopfenstein of California Advisors, LLC. The presentation will give an update on state legislative activity regarding CEQA, housing and land use, including high profile items like SB 50, accessory dwelling units, and the state's efforts to combat homelessness. We will examine bills that passed and failed in 2019, and take a look at what's in store for 2020.

Speaker Bio
Matt Klopfenstein is the Legislative and Legal Advisor at California Advisors, LLC. As a registered lobbyist, he advocates for clients on issues regarding energy, transportation, high-tech, local government and the environment. He actively tracks and engages on legislation and regulatory proceedings for the firm’s clients. Before joining CalAdvisors, Mr. Klopfenstein worked as a law clerk representing local government agencies. He obtained a J.D. degree and the Capitol Certificate in Public Law & Policy from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif with great distinction. He received a B.A. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
