Online Webinar - SUGAR: A Sweet Approach to Language Sampling
Course Description: This interactive presentation will discuss a new method of language sample and analysis, SUGAR (Sampling Utterances and Grammatical Analysis, Revised). Results of a normative study indicated that, using the SUGAR protocol, language samples can be collected, transcribed and analyzed in 30 minutes or less. This presentation will introduce the cornerstones of the SUGAR method: robust sampling and transcription/analysis procedures. Additionally, results of a diagnostic accuracy study will be discussed and applied to clinical practice.
After completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
Discuss the SUGAR method and how it differs from other LSA methods.
Demonstrate correct use of robust sampling.
Discuss clinical application of SUGAR results.
