RMWEA Collections System Committee

Siphons have been used for decades throughout the Rocky Mountain region to transfer sewage across a stream or creek. The majority of operators find them to be a maintenance nightmare while a handful prefer them over a lift station. This session will have three parts.

Siphon Design: What are they, how do they work and why would I want one in my collection system?
O&M: Who’s genius idea was this to construction a siphon in my collection system?
Virtual Site Visit of Siphon: The good, the bad and the…. gone!

Details:This training will count towards 0.15 TU for operator’s training units. From 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM is check-in time for those individual’s needing TU’s. Please have available a photo ID (driver’s license, employee badge, student ID, etc.) for review at the beginning and end of the session. Your camera will be required to be on the entire time in order to verify attendance throughout the session. A phone connection will not be acceptable to get TU credits. The link to the Zoom meeting will be sent once you register. Other requirements for the virtual training may follow.
