This presentation can save you MONEY, EFFORT, and HEARTACHE!!!!  The focus is Quick Closeout and managing the process during contract performance, not after. Are you interested in saving money?  If the answer is yes, then this presentation will be of interest to you as a government contractor.  While we focus on the new DoD rule quick closeout rule, you will absolutely benefit from this presentation for all of your federal customers.     
Our contract is complete, we need to close it out.  What do we need to do?​
  • It's too late if you are asking this question. 
    • You need to understand and anticipate contract closeout during the performance of the contract.
  • You also need to know when funding has expired or is canceling on your contract. 
    • Which means we are going to talk about appropriations, funding, expiring funds, and canceling funds. 
  • Are you aware of the DoD/DFAS tools available to you?

    • EDA
  • History of contract closeout. Understanding history, can help to the future.
    • Stats related to closeout to show it has been a challenge/problem.
    • Contract Closeout relief legislation, and
  • Contract Closeout BEST PRACTICES to save you time, effort, and money (and heartache)
    • Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and Auditable Dollar Value (ADV)
      • Understanding ADV and the relationship to Closed Contracts. 
        • ADV needs to be reduced for all closed contracts?
        • Reducing your Auditable Dollar Value (ADV).  Articulating risk to the government through contract type participation (Schedule H-1)
