Event Description
Join IWEA’s Research and Innovation Committee for a dinner event and presentation on Tuesday, February 13, at Westwood Banquets. John Dyson from Aqua-Aerobics will go over innovative applications of pile cloth media filtration (PCMF). Traditionally used for tertiary filtration, PCMF has recently been tested on other types of wastewater, including primary influent, primary clarified effluent, and combined secondary clarified effluent with the primary influent or primary clarifier effluent. John Dyson will discuss space requirements, handling waste solids, and operational costs with the new applications. Among benefits are meeting effluent quality permit requirements, eliminating untreated wet weather flows, and increasing capacity of existing biological treatment processes.
