Advocate with Confidence: A 2-part workshop for child care providers that will provide an overview of advocacy needs and resources for early learning providers and supporters. We’ll help you figure out your next steps to implementing effective advocacy tools, skills, so we can win significant investments in early childhood care and education. Geared mostly to directors, managers, and teachers, with a focus on the PA state budget but applicable to other levels. This will be a zoom meeting, not a webinar, and there will be open time for Q&A and discussion. FREE to all.

Why do we do this? Or rather, why do WE have to do this? Pennsylvania’s early childhood community has had had some wins and some not-so-hot years, leaving many providers feeling that they’re hanging on by a thread. That makes you the expert! We will cover the milestones in the PA budget process and timeline; working within a larger strategy and approaching your “target.” Learn to look up available information, identify, research, and approach your legislators. Use talking points and craft your own story to resonate with your target.
Anchor and build a relationship with them that gets easier and better over time.
