Participants make 3 pieces.
Obvara: Clay pieces must be made of grogged clay and polished with terra sigillata before bisque. After heating in the outdoor gas kiln, items are coated with a special mixture of yeast, flour, sugar and water, then quenched in water. The results are cream, tan, brown and black stretchy marks on the clay surface.
