Description: This webinar is for all industrial pretreatment program coordinators who must navigate calculating adjusted categorical limits for Categorical Industrial Users (CIUs). CIU pollutant effluent limits are not one-size-fits-all. Each industry has unique wastestreams and some CIU may be regulated by one or more set of categorical standards. This presentation provides step-by-step guidance with practical examples to determine the appropriate compliance monitoring locations to collect representative samples, apply the Flow Weighted Average or Combined Wastestream Formula to adjust categorical limits, and navigate which details, information and most stringent limits ultimately go into the IU’s discharge permit.
