The Connecticut Poultry Breeders Society is a long-standing organization dedicated to promoting the breeding, care, and exhibition of poultry across the state. Each year, the Society hosts its highly anticipated spring poultry show at the Durham Fairgrounds, attracting breeders and hobbyists from throughout Connecticut and neighboring states. The event features a wide variety of poultry breeds—including chickens, turkeys, ducks, and pigeons—competing for ribbons, awards, and recognition. In addition to competitive judging, the show offers educational opportunities for attendees, with hands-on learning about poultry care, breeding practices, and responsible raising of birds.
