What will Alex discuss?
Have you ever wondered what an Information Security Department really does? Do they really need to be that secretive about they do and what they know? Are they really that smart with all their acronyms and technical talk making them sound so important?
Whether you have worked with or audited an information security department before, come hear from an insider about what they do, how they think and what keeps them up at night. You will understand this by learning about a typical information security department and its various complexities.
Our speaker, Alex Grohmann, CISSP, CISA, CIPT, CISM is an Independent Security Consultant who has worked with many organizations, obtaining various kinds of interesting insights and experience. He knows the pain of trying to keep one step ahead of being reported in the news.
What you will learn (CPE objectives):
The basic tenants of information security
The different reporting structures of a Chief Information Security Officer (security program) and the pros and cons of each
The common departments within an information security program and the typical functions of each
The challenges faced with protecting an organization’s data or business processes
