Tony Cottone, Vice President of Finance

Anthony (Tony) Cottone is the Vice President of Finance at 1PointFive, an industrial-scale Direct Air Capture company, where he oversees sustainable growth, profitability, and fundraising efforts. Previously, he served as Vice President of Carbon Solutions, leading a team that successfully achieved pre-sales of over 1.2 million tonnes of carbon dioxide removal credits, generating more than $400 million in revenue. Tony was also a founding member of the Oxy Low Carbon Ventures team, where he played a key role in developing and executing the group's strategy. His team focused on identifying business opportunities, managing investments in venture-stage climate companies, and spearheading the financing of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration projects



Reed Clay, Association President
Texas Nuclear Alliance
Reed was most recently the Chief Operating Officer for the State of Texas under Governor Greg Abbott, where he worked daily alongside executive and legislative leadership to implement Governor Abbott’s vision for the State of Texas. From healthcare to energy; insurance to retail; manufacturing to infrastructure; water to waste – Reed has a deep understanding of highly regulated industries and how government action impacts the bottom line. Reed played an integral role in helping Governor Abbott attract quality leadership to oversee Texas’ executive agencies and worked alongside agency leadership to tackle some of the toughest problems facing the State of Texas. During his time in the state capitol, Reed was also heavily involved in the development and execution of legislative priorities – from policy formation, to bill drafting, to working the legislative process. While serving in the Governor’s Office, he managed Texas’ Office of State Federal Relations – the primary point of contact between the State of Texas and the federal government, including Congress.



Jeremy DeMuth, Managing Director
Deloitte Tax

Jeremy is a Managing Director in Deloitte Tax’s Global Investment & Innovation Incentive Services (Gi3) practice, where he leads several marketplace service offerings under the Inflation Reduction Act. During his over 20 years of professional experience, Jeremy has worked in federal and state tax consulting for public and private companies. Jeremy focuses on ESG/sustainability incentives (including alternative energy, carbon capture and sequestration/utilization, and energy efficiency); and various other federal incentives. He has managed multiple large tax credit studies, authored several successful applications for competitively awarded credits, and successfully represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the Treasury Department, and state tax authorities. Jeremy is also a frequent public speaker at major industry and client conferences and is an author in the area of federal tax incentives.

Chair of U.S. Women In Nuclear, a 5,000-member organization advancing the role of women in the industry. Former VP of Power and Energy at TC Energy. Formed a 100-person team to oversee the build-out of $16 billion in clean energy projects. Former board member of Bruce Power, the world’s largest operating nuclear facility.



 

Jimmy Glotfelty, Commissioner
Public Utility Commission of Texas

Governor Greg Abbott appointed James Glotfelty to serve as a commissioner on the Public Utility Commission of Texas on August 6, 2021, for a term set to expire on September 1, 2025. Before his appointment, he served as Founder and Executive Vice President of Clean Line Energy. His public sector experience includes serving as Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham, Energy Policy Director to Texas Governor George W. Bush and Legislative Director to Congressman Sam Johnson. He founded and led the Office of Electricity at The U.S. Department of Energy, led the joint US-Canadian Power System Outage Task Force and served on the White House Task Force to Streamline Energy Permitting. Mr. Glotfelty's private sector work also includes various Executive and Managerial roles at Calpine Corporation, ICF Consulting and Quanta Services. He served as Chairman of AWEA on the Transmission Committee and held board positions on ConservAmerica, Texas Housing Finance Corporation and Group NIRE. He regularly participated in the Aspen Institute Energy Forum, the Harvard Energy Policy Group and the Keystone Energy Forum. A former Committee Chairman of the Greater Houston Partnership and an Alumni of the Texas Lyceum, Jimmy received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Marketing from Texas Christian University.

 

Matt Guyton, Director, Energy & Power
Piper Sandler

Matt Guyton joined the energy & power investment banking group at Piper Sandler in 2018 and focuses on the oilfield services and equipment, energy technology and renewables & clean energy sectors. Prior to joining the firm, Guyton spent more than two years in the energy investment banking group at Wells Fargo Securities and two years at Bechtel in supply chain quality assurance supporting global energy and power projects. He also spent five years as a U.S. Naval Officer qualifying nuclear engineer and surface warfare officer. Guyton earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, and he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.



Raman Hanjra, Emissions Abatement Director
Baker Hughes, Climate Technology Solutions 

Raman Hanjra has over 20 years of expertise in Product Line Management, Strategic Marketing & Planning, and Consultative Sales within the Global Energy and Technology markets. At Baker Hughes, he spearheads the Product Strategy for Emissions Abatement product and solution offerings, with a key focus on assisting Baker Hughes customers in reducing their GHG emissions at the lowest net cost. Before joining Baker Hughes in 2023, Raman led the product line P&L for solutions targeting the Fugitive Emissions Mitigation market. He has held numerous global roles with increasing responsibility in B2B marketing and product line management throughout his career. Raman holds an MBA in Product & Market Development from Penn State University, US, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra India.

Rodney Harms, Product Manager
Cat Oil and Gas

Rodney Harms is currently Senior Product manager for Cat Oil & Gas a role he has held since 2022. He provides leadership for product strategy, engineering, development, technical marketing and product support for Cat branded Oil & Gas product. This includes product used in Drilling, Well Service, Gas Compression and Production Power applications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois. Rodney Harms joined Caterpillar in 2001 as a powertrain engineer. He continued in roles supporting powertrain operations leadership, field follow engineering, service engineering, design, and technical sales. From 2005-2012, Rodney helped launch and grow the Cat well service transmission business, a core component of the well service segment. In 2015 he became the Cat Oil & Gas well service segment manager where he provided leadership for product strategy and development, technical sales support, and application & installation engineering. This broad segment covers engines, transmissions and well service pumps. During this time Cat introduced the market leading 3512E and 3512E DGB. Additionally Rodney served as the New Product Introduction Manager and Global Product Support Manager for Cat’s Articulated Truck business based in Peterlee, UK from 2018-2022.

Douglass Robison, CEO, President
Natura Resources
Douglass Robison is the founder and President of Natura Resources. Throughout his career in the energy sector, Douglass has been at the forefront of leading-edge technologies, in his role as Partner, Co-founder, President and Executive Chair of ExL Petroleum, a Permian-based oil and gas exploration and production company, and now as the founder and President of Natura Resources.  In 2004 he was appointed by former Texas Gov. Rick Perry to serve on the Texas Energy Planning Council and co-chaired the Energy Supply Committee during which time his committee identified the importance of nuclear energy in our energy future.  Natura Resources is a natural fit for his deep-seated interest in advanced energy technologies.




Brent Staley, Business Development Manager; Low Carbon & Environmental Soltuions Group
NOV 

Brent Staley is the Business Development Manager for NOV’s Low Carbon & Environmental Solutions group for the Americas. He is responsible for commercializing NOV’s carbon capture, dehydration, and conditioning technology and leading pathways for newer revenue streams in low carbon activities including hydrogen production. Brent received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Brigham Young University and has been with NOV since 2010 in various roles including in the Drilling Solutions Engineering group specializing in drill bit technology where he spent most of his career in engineering, sales, and management roles.


GinoGino Thielens, Director of Carbon Storage
SLB

Gino has almost 30 years of experience in development projects, both in project management and tech development roles. He is currently responsible for developing and implementing carbon storage strategies that unlock SLB New Energy solutions and tech in support of accelerating CCUS industry growth.
