Position Title: 
Water Plant Technician / Operator

Position Description: 
- The City of Maryville is hiring a full-time Water Plant Technician / Operator. This position assists in the maintenance and operation of the Water Filtration Plant, providing the Maryville community with top quality drinking water that exceeds all federal and state regulations.
- Career opportunity offering advancement with the completion of TN Water Operator certifications. 
- Night shift position, working 8 consecutive days with 6 consecutive days off.

Duties/Responsibilities: 
Duties include monitoring water levels and flows, recording instrument readings, assisting with the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, collecting samples for laboratory testing, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.

Education/Experience/Skills Required: 
High School Diploma or equivalent. Grade 3 or 4 Water Treatment Operator certification preferred. 

Salary: 
Minimum hourly rate is $18.18. Pay commensurate with experience and certifications.
