Position Details

This position is responsible for providing project manager services for multiple projects related to Water, Wastewater, Natural Gas, and Solid Waste, or other utility programs within the Southern Ute Utilities Division to ensure successful delivery with scope, budget, and schedule. Ensuring project success in the areas of schedule, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements; will provide necessary support for complex project duties in support of the Utilities Manager, acting as a liaison between many departments to create and maintain a master schedule, coordination of staffing, and creation of documents and presentations.

Position Qualifications

Bachelorâ€™s Degree in business, engineering, or other relevant field and ten years progressively responsible experience in or a combination of: public and municipality utilities construction and/or field operations, civil engineering, or other relevant experience; OR an Associateâ€™s Degree in business, engineering, or other relevant field and twelve years progressively responsible experience in or a combination of: public and municipality utilities construction and/or field operations, civil engineering, or other relevant experience; OR a high school diploma or equivalent and fifteen years progressively responsible experience in or a combination of: public and municipality utilities construction and/or field operations, civil engineering, or other relevant experience is required. Must have eight years management or project management experience. Must have substantial experience with safety training and regulatory compliance Must have experience overseeing the work of contractors and vendors. Must have experience working as an Owner/Ownerâ€™s Rep or working with a General Contractor. Must have knowledge and ability to select and implement Estimating and Scheduling Software. Must have knowledge of natural gas operations or natural gas distribution systems. Must have experience with budget preparation and compliance. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills. Must have experience in Microsoft Project or other relevant project management software. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. Must have experience with Word, Outlook, and Teams, with extensive experience in Excel. Must have extensive experience creating and maintaining SOPs and safety standards. Must have a working knowledge of industry codes and regulations. Must possess strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects and processes. Must maintain a telephone for emergency notification purposes. Must be able to work on-call, irregular hours (shift work), holidays, and weekends. Must be willing to assist others, learn new skills, and participate in a team-oriented environment. Must have data management experience. Must have initiative, organizational and strong communication skills. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR Certification. Must have a valid driverâ€™s license and be insurable under the Growth Fund vehicle insurance policy. Must pass criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test.
