Utilities typically use a Capacity, Management, Operations, and Maintenance (CMOM) procedure that prescribes cleaning processes to avoid SSOs. Yet, with some high frequency cleaning sites, cleaning maintenance teams often know that they are cleaning already clean pipes. Through extensive, well-documented studies and pervasive implementation, utilities are now using remote site monitors with advanced, predictive analytics to determine when to clean. This has resulted in significant reductions in cleaning frequency while concurrently providing improved SSO protection. This webinar put on by the Collections Committee will show multiple studies and examine the methods and costs.
