Please join the Rutherford County Health Department for the 8th Annual“Community Baby Shower” in partnership with LaShan Dixon, LLC at Patterson Park Community Center. This event will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 from 10:00am-1:00pm in the Adult Gym at 521 Mercury Boulevard in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
This event is FREE to organizations and employers who choose to participate. This is a great way to let the community know what resources, as well as services you have available for new and expecting families. Your participation will expose you to the entire Rutherford County community. Additionally, there will be advertising throughout Middle Tennessee. Please join us in providing resources for healthy beginnings and education to the expecting families to maintain a healthy lifestyle with their newborns and RSVP no later than Friday,January 20th, 2023.

During the February session, students met individuals in the professions of: interior design, pediatrician, engineer, professional athlete, artist, and anesthesiologist. It was a huge success. These professionals shared their journeys and it was very interactive for the students.
Mental Health Awareness (Soror Leaders: Michelle Jackson and Valerie Jones)
The “Mental Health Moment” at the February chapter meeting was around sleep. The theme is “self care” for the March meeting
Soror Valerie will contact local establishments to see if they would be willing to donate items for the giveaway.
