Kieran is the Musical Director and Arranger for the 'Classical Album Orchestra' and for the Jazz Fusion group, 'Manteca'. He regularly arranges music for a range of ensembles including simple horn lines, Big Bands, Concert Bands, String Orchestras and Chamber Groups. His speciality is in creating full Symphony arrangements of Modern Rock tunes, with his arrangements being performed regularly both within Australia and overseas. Kieran is Currently working on completing his second full (18 song) show for the Darwin Symphony Orchestra as well as an Orchestral setting for 'Bat Out of Hell' to be premiered in August.
Kieran is currently writing and arranging education shows for the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, and has arranged for the Perth Symphony Orchestra and many Primary and High School ensembles. Kieran is the Director of Music at Guildford Grammar School where he teaches classroom music and conducts Big Bands, Concert Bands and Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Orchestra/Rock fusion 'Jarokaphonic Orchestra'.
He is one of Perth's leading session trombonists, and has played with many of the world's best including Frankie Valli, Josh Groban, Debbie Reynolds, Maynard Ferguson, James Morrison, Jerry Lewis and Kate Cebrano, and has performed in shows such as Les Miserables, A Chorus Line, The Boy From Oz, Oklahoma! and South Pacific. He is Principal Bass Trombone for the Perth Symphony Orchestra and also performs regularly with MtB, Nueva Salsa Orchestra, Straight Ahead Big Band, Greg Schultz Big Band, The Standard Jazz Band and many, many others.
