Government Affairs Committee

The CWEA GAC strives to not only keep our members informed of state and federal policies that impact the efforts to improve water quality and protect the water environment of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed but also to nurture partnerships with key stakeholders in our region through establishing lines of communication with policy-makers and participating in public policy discussions. The annual Water Week Fly-in to Capitol Hill to meet with our representatives is the culmination of our program but we also plan to provide regulatory context to CWEA events throughout the year and begin planning annual discussions with the state agencies and officials that influence water-related activities and policies. We are looking for committee members who would be interested in diving deeper into the regulations and policies that govern the water industry in Delaware, Maryland, DC, and at the Federal level.
