The Gender Discrimination Committee focuses on keeping NELA/NY membership informed of developments in employment law related to gender based discrimination. Such discrimination includes, but is not limited to, pay discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual orientation discrimination, and pregnancy discrimination. We also seek to improve members understanding of gender discrimination by hosting talks with counselors who treat women and men who have been the target of gender discrimination and to raise awareness of gender discrimination in the community by developing presentations for women groups, law school groups and other attorneys.
