Bonding Conference

The Bonding Conference is an event hosted by the Chemists' Club each year at the Players Club in New York City. The Bonding Conference includes a reception, presentation by industry experts, and a student poster session. The poster session includes a showcase of poster presentations from student scholars at New York University (Washington Square), New York University (Tandon School of Engineering), Columbia University, Cooper Union, Manhattan College, and City College of New York, presenting their personal and professional interests. The student with the most intriguing poster is selected and awarded at the end of the event. The presentation, on the other hand, is a great opportunity for professionals to hear industry experts discuss the theme of that year.

The Bond Conference began in 2017 as a one-time event with the topic on sustainability. After the success of the first event, it has been held annually except for in 2020, due to COVID-19. Past themes for the Bonding Conference have been Sustainability, Diversity and Inclusion, and Digital Innovation and have featured speakers from a multitude of industries such as chemical manufacturing, consulting, consumer products, and much more. This is a great opportunity for professionals to network with one another, meet students, and hear from leaders in the industry. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the 2020 Bonding Conference was unfortunately postponed to this year and will be hosted virtually.
