Details:
Bailey Water and Sanitation District is a small special district that offers sewer and water to roughly 115 customers via a mainline. We are currently looking for an operator with the above certifications to serve as operator in charge (ORC) and run the facilities. The water facility is a surface water treatment plant a capacity of 30 gpm. The wastewater facility is an activated sludge process with a capacity of 75,000 gpd. Both facilities are planned to be replaced in the next 5 years, and the new ORC would be involved in the design review. This maintenance includes the following:
• Ensure the water and sewer plant run smoothly and efficiently.
• Complete all necessary reporting to meet state regulations.
• Address any leaks that may appear on the line and any other problems that arise with the main line (there are two other employees that can assist with tasks).
• Help maintain the bulk water sales station.
• Help the board and engineer with our new water and wastewater projects.


Qualifications:
• Class B Water operator certification
• Class C Sewer operator certification
• Level I Distribution and Collection operator certifications.

Hours and wage:
This position is part-time but may differ if there is a problem with the water or sewer line (extra reporting, leaks, pressure problem, etc).
The pay range is $30 to $40 an hour depending on qualifications and experience.
