This seminar will cover everything from the basics of free trade agreements to more advanced topics, such as audits and advanced rule of origin tools.
Topics to be covered are:
Rules of Origin – Basic and Advanced
Certificates, Certifications, and Declarations of Origin
Post Entry Refunds
Origin Audits/Verifications, including strategies on how to respond to CBP From 28 requests for information
Exporter and Importer Internal Control Documents
Broker Procedures
The seminar will cover all free trade agreement practices, but there also will be a robust discussion of changes in the new NAFTA vs. the current NAFTA (USMCA). Special emphasis will be placed upon broker roles and responsibilities in claiming free trade agreement benefits for their importer clients.
