Event Description
This course will describe the value of effective supervision of workers and improve the construction supervisor's ability to lead and motivate others.

Mr. Lovedahl has been employed as a construction manager and estimator for GSA, responsible for developing independent government estimates (IGEs) for new construction, restorations, additions, repairs, renovations and life-cycle maintenance costs for hundreds of federal government buildings, leased spaces and related infrastructure for the past eight years. He is retired from the US Air Force with 26 years of experience in the engineering and construction profession, responsible for $100+ million in construction management, cost estimating and superintendent activities. Mr. Lovedahl is a current member of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) and a part-time instructor for the Central New Mexico (CNM) Community College in their Applied Technology Construction Management program.
 
This course covers understanding how project estimates are compiled, how to compare actual project costs with those estimated and how to control costs to meet the estimate. This course also  details how productivity is  measured, how the supervisor plays a major role in increasing jobsite productivity and how a small increase in productivity can have a significant impact on the time and cost of a project.
