2023 Adult Summer Season
5/22/2023 - 8/13/2023

Event Description

WELCOME TO 2023 ADULT SUMMER SEASON !!!!

Please gather yourself and/or your crew and register for our full summer season which is Monday May 22 through Sunday August 13.

Our rowing days/time are typically weekday early mornings 6:30am or 8am then back out on the water for early evening 5:30pm or 8pm, plus our weekend morning sessions between 6am-11am.

Rowers and scullers with experience

Summer season

This is for experienced rowers rowing sweep (fours) and/or sculling (doubles/singles).  You can choose to row combos of sweep and sculling as long as you have been certified for sculling. Summer members will receive summer communications and have options to join our sub list, destinations rows, and socials.

Options this year allow a rower to choose weekly rows of: 1x (12 rows/seats), 2x (24 rows/seats), or 3x (36 rows/seats).

A crew/boat must contain enough rowers to fill the boat's seats for the full season (12 weeks filling a boat of 4 seats is a total of 96 seats/rowers).  Crews of 6 rowers looking for 3x a week would need to fill 144 seats for the season.  Please make sure your crew & their season selections fulfill these requirements.

If you are looking to sub only and not be named in a crew, you may choose any of the summer memberships.

Registrations received after May 1st should register then send an email to administrator@rowcmi.org

Please note:  We may have to reschedule some rowing on July 15-16th due to the Blackburn Challenge.
If you do not have a crew we will try to help connect you to others though we can not guarantee placement.

Learn to Row Sessions-rolling through summer

Sweep

One oar, two hands, four sliding seats and a coxn. Learn how to row as part of a crew.  At completion, rowers can choose to join our summer season by paying the difference due, or join our pay per row option to fill in open seats as needed.

Sculling

Two oars, two hands, one sliding seat.  These are private and semi private lessons to teach rowing in a single or double.  At completion, rowers can choose to join our summer season by paying the difference due, or join our pay per row. Generally these start mid to late June as the water warms up.

As always, we believe that cost should never be a barrier to rowing so please do not hesitate to reach out to administrator@rowcmi.org  to find out options to keep you rowing!
