Join the Forensic and Valuation Services SIG in considering how business disputes can involve a wide range of complex financial and accounting considerations that require the skills and expertise of CPAs. However, the litigation environment presents unique challenges. The litigation process itself is much different than encountered on most accounting, tax and advisory engagements. Understanding that process can help practitioners avoid pitfalls. Similarly, practitioners must consider unique financial and accounting methods to ensure economic harm to entities is sufficiently assessed through a robust damages analysis. 

Grant Thornton’s Bryan Moser will discuss how the capabilities of a CPA/CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) can be applied within a litigation setting to assess damages that arise from business disputes.
