2024 Adult Winter Indoor Training- Session III

Event Description

Welcome to our Adult Winter Training @ Cohasset Recreation Center with Online options!!

Experienced Coaches Abi, Frank and Karen lead our winter training for adults as they gear their classes to improving muscle, cardio, and rowing technique utilizing indoor rowing machines plus exercises and stretching off the erg.  Over the winter we hold  5-week sessions from October through the end of March. Sign-ups are possible before and during each session, depending on available spots. 

This third session will run for five weeks from Monday January 8th to Monday February 12th.   (No Classes 1/15)

Coach Karen's zoom & in-person classes are fitness and technique classes that offer a mix of interval and endurance training, including a warm-up and post stretch.  Coach Abi brings fun intense interval workouts on the erg combined with strength circuits on the mat targeting core/legs/arms. Coach Frank's classes combine drills for improving technique with rowing for strength and fitness. 

The schedule this session is as follows:  

Mondays             8:00-9:15AM Coach Frank, Technique & Rowing
Wednesdays       6:00-7:15AM Coach Abi, Interval Workouts & strength circuits on the Mat
                            8:00-9:15AM Coach Frank, Technique & Rowing
Thursdays         6:45-8:00AM Coach Karen, via Zoom**, Alternating interval & endurance training 
Thursdays         6:30-7:45pm Coach Abi, Interval Workouts & strength circuits on the mat
Saturdays          7:00-8:15AM Coach Karen, Alternating interval & endurance training varying intensity
                          8:30-9:45AM Coach Karen, Alternating interval & endurance training varying intensity
Sundays            7:30-8:45AM  Coach Abi, Interval Workouts & strength circuits on the mat
           
  *All classes minimum: 5 rowers to run class
**For the zoom class you did need your own erg. If you do not have one and need to rent one from CMI please reach out.

If you don't see a time you like, please let us know! We can offer Mondays or Thursdays at 6:30pm or Mondays or Wednesdays at 9:30am, all we need is four rowers to commit to one of these times.  If you have other times in mind and some interested friends, or if you would like to try a class with an open space before signing up please contact programdirector@rowcmi.org.
