Event Description
Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) Program is a 100-hour training program that examines over 50 safety-related topics. It is appropriate for an experienced journey-level craft professional seeking a path into the safety profession2.
Participants receive training that allow them to return to their companies with applicable new skills and a proactive approach to safety. The one-level Safety Technology curriculum provides instruction on how to implement and administer a company’s safety program. This curriculum is designed for field managers, safety directors, safety committees, owner safety representatives and insurance/loss control representatives.
Curriculum Details (2nd Edition)
- Introduction to Safety Technology; Describes the responsibilities of a safety technician and identifies the basic components of a safety program. It also provides an overview of regulatory requirements.
- Positive Safety Communication
- Hazard Recognition, Environmental Awareness, & Occu. Health
- Job Safety Analysis and Pre-Task Planning
- Safety Data Tracking and Trending
- Site-Specific Safety Plans
- Safety Orientation and Safety Meetings
- Permits and Policies
- Incident Investigations, Policies, and Analysis
- OSHA Inspections and Recordkeeping
